My blog about my research at the Hill archive. I have to admit, learning more about Barney, I never bought he was influenced by "The Bolero Shield". He might have possibly seen it, but it's role as an influence has been pushed by skeptics for years.
I think there are other possible influences, especially considering they couldn't really agree on any one depiction as being exactly right.
Barney was very honest, despite the whole abduction experience which I believe he came to believe was real (at first, before hypnosis, he was far from sure). If he said he didn't see "The Bolero Shield" I really think he didn't.
