This does the Dem party no good. It makes us look like caricature tax-and-spenders. Medicare and S.S. need to be patched (S.S. not so much, but Medicare, definitely). The longer we put it off, the more painful it will be. Why is Reid ruling out entitlement reform? I thought that was one of the few good things that could come out of this mess.
