Today while fishing I met my first young earth and universe creationist. He claimed that the earth was a hair over 6,000 years old and that we were created by God and that the vastness of the universe is much too big for us to comprehend. He also threw out most of modern science.
He also made the claim that fossil's can be created in sixty years. I told him that was hogwash. How do YEC's come up with this claim, and what "evidence" do they derive this from?
