"The Undergraduate Atheist Thesis"

Found at 3quarksdaily: A Refutation of the Undergraduate Atheists. He describes "New Atheism" as the following view:

Quote:

Humanity would be better off without religious belief.

I think it's not particularly accurate to try to lump Dawkins, Hitchens, and Harris into a single, three-headed being called New Atheism when it comes to their views. While they mostly share the same worldview, they do have their differences, especially when it comes to what they emphasize. Dawkins emphasize mostly that the evidence for believing in gods is insufficient, and the bad consequences of religion is more of an afterthought for him. Hitchens on the other hand focused much on how he viewed religions as being totalitarian belief-systems hostile to human freedom.

The section about the hypothetical species of Dawkinsians is just silly. Presumably Dawkins has the same pallette of human emotions and needs as other humans have.
