Galaxy S5 announced - General Concensus Seems to be 'Meh'.

In summary:

It's a tiny bit bigger than the S4; it's slightly thicker; it's slightly heavier; it looks almost exactly like an S4.

It has a fingerprint scanner (surprise!)

It comes in new colours - including Gold (surprise!)

The '16GB' version ships with actually less than 8GB useable physical storage - so being able to purchase an SD card for additional storage would seem to be less of a 'feature', and more like an absolute necessity:

Samsung are saying that they are "going back to basics" with the S5, which seems to be marketing-speak for "Guys, we've run out of ideas for useless bloatware, and we didn't have time to put a 64-bit processor in this thing".

The only thing I find remotely interesting is the improved camera, and the ability to alter the focus of a photo once taken, but given that this has been rumoured to be included in the iPhone 6 for a few months and the iPhone camera is usually one of the best (in terms of image quality) on any device, this wouldn't be enough to persuade me to buy an S5.

The ball is now in the court of the iPhone 6.
