Military Cuts

I saw this on the news this morning and there is also a New York Times article (http://nyti.ms/1eo9Kbb).



I agree with the proposals in general (there might be specifics about reducing personnel costs by cutting certain benefits that I would take issue but it I need to know further details before I commit). In any case, do others think it can survive Congress. It seems there is so much special interest in the military industrial complex and individual congressman in protecting local bases that it is difficult to cut.



It sounds like there is general support for this in the military leadership. From the NYTimes article,
