Would the Republicans have handled the Ukrainian crisis differently than Obama?

Repiblicans typically percieve Barack Obama as a weakling, a coward. They have also expressed concern at how he handles the Ukrainian crisis.



I wonder, would a Republican administration, headed by say McCain or Romney, have handled the situation in Ukraine differently? Would they have been tougher on Putin than Obama has been? Or would they have acted as he has done?
