This drive was built in 2006. I can't get my Gateway or my netbook to show this drive in "My Computer". My DISH Hopper recognizes it, but not my PCs. The drive shows up in "Devices" and it says the drivers are the latest.
Ideally I'd like to check the drive and recover any info on it. Barring that I'd just like to format it so I can use all ~500 gig for recording old Top Gear shows and the occasionalsoft core educational programs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
