Yeah, I know these gun threads are numerous, but it doesn't seem right to mix incidents. In this one, the man continually rode his lawnmower across the lawn of the victim. She didn't call the cops, but instead asked him to stop. His response? He hid in the bushes and shot her.
You can't tell me he "would have done this with a knife or something else". This man was a coward, but because he was able to have a gun, he was able to act without the fear of confronting this terrifying 17-year-old girl face-to-face.
I've heard gun enthusiasts say, "An armed society is a polite society." Incidents like this show how wrong they are. A society armed with handguns is a cowardly and vindictive society. No, not all gun owners. Most are good guys. But the ability for any piece of human waste to carry out his evil plans in relative safety is simply not good for our country. Handguns are a deadly plague on our society, and we need to search for some serious cures.
