The five-grand price is for the everyday, ordinary E-meter. The Limited-Edition Mark Ultra VIII Golden Age of Tech III E-meter (page 53) is so expensive that they don't even list a price! (I guess they are doing a J.P.Morgan kind of "If you have to ask...").
Ten-thousand dollars US will get you all the collected works of L. Ron Hubbard's works. Well, all of his works up to this point; after all, he could come back any day now and give us more wonderful stories and teachings. That $10,000 price does not include leather-bound editions, those are a bit more expensive.
