This is an interesting case because of motive. The evidence looks solid, and I think the police got it right.
It seems this guy had a crush on the victim. So he lured her to an encounter with the idea that he would kidnap her and stash her somewhere, and then be the hero who found and rescued her, and thereby gain her affection.
But he ended up suffocating her, and she was killed.
Very often, especially with wrongful convictions, we are faced with a criminal theory that is not plausible, but guilters then counter with proven cases where the motive seems equally implausible.
This case is outlandish, but from what I know of criminal behavior, yeah, I totally believe it.
