Male microchimerism in women without sons: Fact or latest slut-shaming woo?

I've seen some online discussion of late claiming that women with many sexual partners show Y-chromosome specific microchimerism. Some go as far to claim that this means a woman's offspring will include DNA from prior sexual partners. :eye-poppi Also there have been claims that epigenetics suggests that prior partners will influence the way genes are expressed in offspring, without altering or infusing the offspring's DNA itself.

Particularly given the context of these statements, I think it's male insecurity and slut-shaming dressed in a gross misunderstanding of the implications of recent research. Its also suspicious that the claims suggest multiple partners will result in male microchimerism, but regular relations with a single partner aren't mentioned as a cause. I've argued against it, but the topic is far outside my areas of daily expertise and experience, so I was hoping it could be discussed in a more scholarly manner here.

This study was among those cited by the claimants.
