I am reading about the post war German freikorps to the eventual triumph of the Nazi party in the early thirties. I am personly convinced that without the economic downturn the already declining Nazi party would have faded away.
There are several opposing viewpoints, some have merit though I feel lack strong hard evidence. What do other people here think. In short,if the economic problems of the early thirties had not occurred would the Nazis have got power.
