Staging of crime scenes

There are many cases where allegations of crime scene stagings are central to prosecution theory.

Knox, Lundy, Routier, MacDonald, Faria, Bamber, Pistorius, Dewani are a few

Solving these cases can be helped by finding patterns, Bain and Bamber appear to absolve the alleged stagers, as do Knox, Lundy, but not Routier or MacDonald.

Pistorius is also absolved of premeditation by the evidence.
Patterns of interviews after, crime free history, behaviour generally. There are plenty of other cases where staging of a crime scene to absolve self or implicate others are alleged or observed.

As a general discussion idea, the alleged staging of a crime scene should preoccupy every aspect of investigation. Either the alleged stager is completely guilty or completely innocent and accordingly one stray data point can eliminate a theory. My favourite is the deeply embedded glass shard in the hardwood window frame in the Kercher case. I realised a staging was totally impossible with that data point.
