Just yesterday I've read excellent new book "Myth of an afterlife".Great number of philosophers,psychologists etc issued convincing arguments against souls,for physicalism etc.

They also deteated out-of-body,near-death,mediums etc.
But I think they failed in the major thing.They argued for extinction and completely missed out the mention of Many Worlds of quantum mechanics.All their arguments for mind dependant on brain do nothing about immortality prescribed by MWI.So,bad news for Keith Augustine and other extinctionists.Should they realized that they wil have nostalgia on those days when near-death was considered as evidence for an afterlife :).Ironically ,one contributor to the book is David Papinneau,prominent proponent of MWI
