Wife Made an Appointment with a Holistic Doctor

My wife had been out of work since mid July. Tons of symptoms including: muscle aches, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, and cognitive issues (brain fog). Initial Lyme test came back positive - then after a few more: negative.

She has been to several doctors at her PMP Practice. From there to a rheumatologist, two neurologists and an infectious disease specialist.

She has had over 100 vials of blood taken from her in the last month alone. Everything points to autoimmune. The problem is, not a single doctor can pin point what it is or how to treat it. The wife is convinced that she has post lyme syndrome since her symptoms fit that ...and only that. She did take the CDC recommended antibiotics and was feeling better on them after a couple weeks.

So yesterday, she asked me to drive her to a holistic doctor in another town (she can't drive long distances anymore) This doctor is actually a real MD who was a gastroenterologist. She also said that he is "Lyme Literate." I am well aware of the abundance of controversy surrounding Lyme disease yet clueless on what to believe.

I do not believe in holistic medicine nor can I have any respect for a doctor that does his "healing" through supplements.

Does anyone have any good advice as to what I can ask Doctor Snake Oil?
