Inspired by this comment elsewhere:
I understand that "conspiracy theories" is a vaguely recognizable genre in written communication. One that would be nice to label with warning signs and put where it rightfully belongs -- the trashbin, that is.
However, I don't feel comfortable with the culture of semi-automatically labelling stuff as "conspiracy theories (tm)" just because they doubt information published by the government of a Trusted Country (tm).
(We all have a list of Trusted Countries (tm). I hope these lists coincide.)
Doubting something is at the core of skepticism.
