The EU has been obliged to suspend renewing a 15 year licence to the makers of GMO Glyphosate .Essentially Monsanto's herbicide Round - Up Several countries including France , Holland and Italy objected in light of further evidence linking the products with Cancer inducing properties and the refusal by manufacturer Monsanto to provide full product make- up details .
Professor Seralini’s research group at Caen University completed the world’s first feeding study of the effect on more than 200 rats of a diet of GMO corn over a period of a full two years . The study found alarming instances of cancer tumors, severe organ damage and premature death in rats fed GMO corn treated with Monsanto Roundup with Glyphosate.
The Seralini study was published after a four-month peer-review process by scientifically qualified colleagues and two years of research in absolute secrecy to avoid industry pressure. Within hours of the public release of the Seralini study, a coordinated global media campaign to discredit the conclusions was launched. No facts were presented, merely typical allegations that the study was “unscientific,” or that the wrong rats were used.More recently courts found completely in Seralini's favour .
Further , a recent German study revealed alarming concentrations of glyphosate in a majority of the population there. An alarming three-quarters of the German population have been contaminated by glyphosate according to a study done by the Heinrich Böll Foundation. The report analyzed glyphosate residue in urine and it concluded that, “75% of the target group displayed levels that were five times higher than the legal limit of drinking water. A third of the population even showed levels that were between ten and 42 times higher than what is normally permissible.”
Monsanto and others need pursuing to finally lay the Rockefeller Foundation Genetic Manipulation project to where it deserves -- dead and buried , with appropriate persons gaoled for life . They have surely already killed in abundance .
