Fake pankillers kill fourteen in California

A CDC study had linked 14 recent deaths in California to illicitly purchased prescription drugs.
Hospitals in the Bay Area have recently treated at least seven patients who overdosed after taking pills of what they thought was Norco (a moderately strong opioid painkiller) but actually contained the far more powerful fentanyl. These people survived, but 12 others in Sacramento County and two in Yolo County didn't.
