Reverse Racism and Police Shootings - two great tastes that taste great together!

I am always very dubious when pundits and activist trot out statistics like "X% of people shot by cops are Purple" or "Y times as many killings are Green on Green" and other essentially meaningless numbers that sound like they back their case. Of course we see this in other things, like employment or education or the wage gap, but those are at least slightly more scientific and have a discourse about controlling for variables and other rational attempts at understanding context.

Which leads to this study:

Quote:

The conventional thinking about police-involved shootings, and some scientific research, has been that black suspects are more likely to be shot than white suspects because of an implicit racial bias among police officers. But now a new study has found exactly the opposite: even with white officers who do have racial biases, officers are three times less likely to shoot unarmed black suspects than unarmed white suspects.
Linky.
