Why are women socially pressured to shave all the hair on our bodies except our heads? I cannot think of any other vacuous, pointless standard of attractiveness that women could be pressured to do than removing the hair that grows naturally on our bodies. Especially considering men aren't even made to shave their faces, let alone legs, pits, "bikini area" and faces if applicable (many women grow a little facial hair)
Can someone explain it to me? Because my 13 year old daughter needs to start shaving and she's asking me this, and all I got is "cultural peer pressure".
