Martin Blackwell of Georgia was convicted today of 2 counts of aggravated assault and 8 counts of aggravated battery for the incident. He'd gone to his girlfriend's home to find her son and his boyfriend sleeping together in the same bed. He threw boiling water on them, causing extensive & severe burns that required multiple surgeries.
He should probably count himself lucky, he could have gotten as much as 80 years, and they didn't add any hate crime charges. He might get out within his lifetime.
