Killed by a kiss

Julio Macias Gonzalez, who was 17, started convulsing during dinner with his family in Mexico City the day after spending the night with his girlfriend (24) and later died at the scene.
The cause of death? A blood clot caused by a 'hickey' or love bite. Physicians believe that suction from the hickey was so strong it caused a blood clot, which travelled to the boy's brain and triggered the stroke.

It's actually not the first time something like this has happened; in 2010 the New Zealand Medical Journal reported the case of a 44-year-old woman who also suffered a stroke (non-fatal) under similar circumstances.

It's a weird and dangerous world out there.
