Attacking Other Star Systems

Suppose a fairly advanced civ (100 years ahead of us) five light years away decides to take out a lesser advanced civ (our level). With solar sails and ground-based lasers, they accelerate a swarm of objects to 6% the speed of light with the goal of slamming them into the inhabited planet in the other system. Assume a swarm of a few hundred ten-thousand pound objects going 10,000 miles per second at the moment of impact.

What would the impacts be like? Could a system defend against such an attack? From how far away would you have to detect the swarm to have a chance at intercepting it? Would a swarm of objects be best, or one large object?
From online calculators I could find, a five meter-wide object with the density of iron going 10,000 MPS packs quite a wallop.
