Taco Bell/Illuminati conspiracy

Just before Christmas, Taco Bell launched a revamped "dollar menu", as so many other fast food chains are recently doing. The ad campaign for Taco Bell's new dollar menu is...funny.

There are only two television ads so far:

Now, it's almost an insult to everyone's intelligence to put the words "this is obviously a joke" here, and I only add them for the sake of completion. Needless to say, a look through the comments of those YouTube videos indicate that not everybody agrees with them.

And it's hardly just comments from a few random kooks on a YouTube video that may or may not be trolling. A search for the term "Belluminati", on YouTube, social media sites, and other places where conspiracy theorists tend to gather shows that while it's perhaps not blowing up as the Next Big Conspiracy, it has gotten the attention of some of the self-proclaimed major voices in the anti-Illuminati set. And...Charlie Daniels, who is interestingly both still alive and has a Twitter account, who cautioned Taco Bell that "the illuminati is not a frivolous subject".

See as with most conspiracies of its type, CT's who proclaim the existence of the Illuminati do not believe in a third-party middle ground of educated, objective people who will examine their supposed evidence and not be convinced; if you do not accept what they deem to be the "truth", you are either a lame-brained and successfully-brainwashed fool, OR you're a paid shill or just plain evil individual who is perfectly aware of the truth but is intentionally spreading disinformation. There are no alternatives. Likewise they deem it impossible that some disinterested guys at an ad agency could have come up with this because they thought it would be funny, and therefore this ad campaign must be a literal, actual Illuminati plot to brainwash people into thinking the Illuminati is a funny joke.

Just so the this last bit about conspiracy theorists going nuts over this isn't just an assertion, here's a video on the "Belluminati" by the A Call for an Uprising youtube channel, which frequently carries anti-Illuminati ravings. The vlogger is genuinely upset about this ad campaign and goes on a protracted screed about it.
