Is it just me, or do I remember a time when not having military parades was a point of pride for the U.S.? The Soviet Union did big military parades. China does them. North Korea does them. Okay, so France does them too. Still.
Am I mis-remembering? I really thought I remember that the lack of military parades was actually a feature, not a bug.
