What should the next Democratic administration focus on

Provided there will be a next Democratic administration, what do you think should be the focus?

In my view, one year with Donald Trump has demonstrated that racism is the dominant social problem in the US. It's the underlying issue in far too many issues, and it really needs to be the primary focus. With the demographics of the US shifting, the racists will be getting ever more desperate and violent. The one positive thing about this current political climate is that they have shown who they are.

The question is what a focus on racism would look like. It would need to be inclusive to all tolerant people, and it would need to allow racists who see the error of their ways to repent.

Included in this focus on racism, I see dismantling the undemocratic power the GOP has created in the electoral college and in the states with Gerrymandering. GOP influence must be lessened, or there can be no dealing with institutional or casual racism in the US.
